Holla Daa
This is my first blogging exercise. It will be my space on the web to share my life , what am I doing and my opinions on things as they happen around my home country South Africa and the rest of the world.
On death and marriage
I attended the funeral of my mother's cousin this weekend ka di 19th August 2006 in Batlharos Village, Kuruman(Kgalagadi District Municipality). It's this ritual that we go through on the departure of one from the family, and the question of life and death comes to mind.
I know am not gonna live forever but how long and when will my exit come ? Gabotlwaelwe Peacock was born in 1932 and married in 1957. She was 74 years old and had spent 49 years of her life married to the same man with peace. Waao!!! She was one the 10 children, 5 men and 5 woman. All 5 of her brother are gone and she is the first one to go on the woman's side. Not the elderst just in the middle.
Robala ka kagiso.. yes life and death do exist together.
